Volunteering
Thankyou for your interest in volunteering with us. We are always looking for extra hands to assist with our projects.
Fundraising and Appeals
Volunteer roles at the Club mainly revolved around fundraising through selling badges just before ANZAC DAY and selling poppies prior to REMEMBRANCE DAY.
Sellers generally follow a roster and “set up shop” at larger shopping centres, hardware stores etc. Our Appeals Officer may also require assistance to assemble, pack and deliver merchandise trays to local schools and businesses before, and then collect the proceeds and stock balances directly after our Appeals.
Veteran Support
Veteran Support volunteers provide well-being support to veterans and their families and may undertake a number of roles including:-
- Hospital & Home Visitation
- Veteran Transport
- Welfare Officers
- Pensions Officers
- Other Veterans Support Activities
Most veteran support roles require volunteers to undergo a National Police Check for Aged Care. Some Veterans Support roles- such as Pensions Officers and Welfare Officers - also require volunteers to undergo specialized accredited training to enable them to undertake their duties. We fully support interested volunteers to become accredited.
Commemoration and Memorabilia
For ANZAC DAY and REMEMBRANCE DAY our Volunteers may be called on to assist at our Annual Commemoration Services and we support a number of local schools, businesses and nursing homes in our local area. Additionally to this end our Memorabilia Officer is always looking to add to our collection and maintain displays to a high standard. If you would like more information about assisting in our Commemoration Services, please contact the Club.
Practical Support
We are always happy to support Club Members who can offer their time, trade or professional qualifications to assist us at Caulfield RSL. Please contact the manager if you would like to be added to our tradesman's list.
